Rosa Maria "Olympe" Diamond Pave Silver Necklace. A striking piece from the IYKYK jewellery designer Rosa Maria (it's all handmade in Beirut) - the Olympe necklace has been part of her collection for many years now - but it's still SO hard to find. Die hards of the brand know that it's really just a select few boutiques around the world that carry it. What I love about this stunning necklace is the balance of almost like, organic modernity, but with a sense of age at the same time (hard to describe?) - each piece is conceived in a deliberately irregular manner and I think it's so beautiful. This piece is pretty striking all on it's own, but could absolutely be layered to your hearts content (if that suits the mood of the day and the outfit better). I guess it's just that it has this perfect simplicity of form - with a really luxurious combination of diamonds and silver. The on model photos here are mainly included to give an idea of the piece - the designers work is made to order, and slight variations are normal. The chain length is 39 inches, and then the dial/pendant hangs below that, so the drop is about 20 inches. There is a little ring, so it can also be made shorter by 4 inches if you want. Diamonds set in sterling silver. From my research it's about 1 carat's worth of diamonds in this necklace (another site said 1.4 carats so somewhere in there) - white diamonds in this case. In excellent condition and comes with original pouch. Currently retails for anywhere between $3100 and $4200 - depending on where you purchase it (although not easy to find in North America, even then). Selling here for $1495CAD!
