The title of the scarf translates to "In The Shadow of Peonies" in English, this stunning scarf shows a city in the shadow of giant peony flowers, done in absolutely breathtaking detail. Giant peonies, fragile though powerful, rise from a proliferation of architectural forms in this poetic play on scale, blooming over an imaginary city. Artists Octave Marsal and Theo de Gueltzl show a city filled with details of beautiful palaces and vast residences, even more incredible because this design can be viewed from all angles as if it was not designed with an intended up or down. A dream for a girl with blue eyes I should imagine - this lovely shade manages to be both soft and bright at the same time. It's hard to describe but it's heavenly. 100% silk. In excellent condition - no signs of wear - like new. Does not come with the original box though. Originally $750CAD, and selling here for $485CAD!
