Chanel Black aged calfskin leather Re-issue 2.55 Bag (in the 266 size). The classic quilted leather, double flap design with ruthenium hardware. This iconic bag (first produced in 1955, and reproduced for the 50th anniversary in 2005 - thus the name re-issue!) also features a single convertible chain-link strap, patch pocket at back, and a single pocket with zip closure at flap underside (rumoured to be where Chanel kept love letters!). This bag is light and quite soft, both the leather and the construction, especially when compared to something like the Boy bag, which has a more structured shape (and flap). One of the greatest features of this bag is that it can squish completely flat - SO handy for travelling. It's absolutely genius. There are several interior compartments for staying organized. Oxblood leather interior lining and “Mademoiselle” turn-lock closure at front flap. Date code starting with 118 puts production in the 2006-2008 time frame. Includes dust bag. Measures 11 inches x 7 inches x 3 inches. The bag is in very good condition in terms of corners and interior. There are some light creases on the exterior back where the flap opens, and the interior where the flap opens has some creases that almost take a slightly braided shape. In overall 8.75/10 condition.
