Balenciaga Joint Leather Shoulder Bag in Black. An absolutely gorgeous bag - I love that it's simple - but also so interesting at the same time. From Nicholas Ghesquière's Spring 2012 collection, versions of this bag were shown on the runway - but this one in the clean black leather feels very ahead of it's time. You can slip your hand in between the bag at the band of padded leather that runs the length of the bag, and remove the strap - allowing it to be worn as something of a clutch if that suits the occasion better. Three internal compartments allows you to stay organized - and there is one zip pocket for keeping some small items securely in place. There is a zip top closure keep things from spilling out if the bag should tip over. The strap drop is 18 inches and is 40 inches in total length on the longest hole (and can be shortened a few inches if you need). The bag itself measures 8 inches tall, 10 inches long (11 inches at the base), and about 3.5/4 inches deep. Lightly worn and in very good condition but the leather on the strap is quite soft - softer than the bag itself actually. There is some light signs of wear on the gold tone part of the zipper as shown in the photos. Originally likely around $2000 or so (bags were so much more reasonably priced in 2012!), and selling here for $695CAD!
